Don’t forget elephant soccer

As the XX Olympic Winter Games come to a close today in Turin, Italy, sporting fans turn their attention to the 2008 Beijing Games.
One sport which will be conspicuously absent is elephant polo.
“A shame,” grouses Orange Bear.
Elephant polo is like regular polo, except with two riders, a shorter field, longer sticks, and, well, elephants instead of horses. The game is played in Southeast Asia, and the World Elephant Polo Association holds a championship tournament in Nepal every December.
