Orange Bear prefers going, er, bare-pawed. "Bear paws have quite nice rubbery soles," he says.

Well, the Wellingtons and the Crocs are very different. The former seem designed for occasions one might be wading through a foot of water with the intent of keeping it out, whereas the latter are great for allowing the water to pass through. The former seem better suited for cold weather, and the latter for beaching, swimming, whatnot. Different functions altogether. I personally am much more apt to wear Crocs to the gym pool (to prevent little diseases from attaching themselves to my soles) than to don a pair of two foot high moor boots. Perhap I'm just a little eccentric that way. :)

A bit of a crocs vs. wellies debate rages on in the Crumpet household, but Orange Bear manages to stay above the fray. He prefers to pad about "barefoot."

everyone should trade in their wellingtons for a pair of crocs, they're marvellous.

But then they should go and buy another pair of wellingtons because, frankly, who can do without them?
