Claw-Tapping Tunes

June 9, 2007

A sympathetic soul, Milton Mole recently thought, “Mr. Crumpet’s been toiling under the Long-Unfinished Project for many months now. Maybe some cheerful music would do well to lift his spirits.”

The next day, Milton, armed with an old bluegrass banjo album by George Pegram, visited Mr. Crumpet as he toiled under the Long-Unfinished Project.

“I got just the thing to pull you out of your doldrums, Mr. Crumpet,” said Milton. “Just close your eyes.”

“It’s pretty dark down here as it is.”

Milton looked about and squinted and said: “Oh.”

He played the old George Pegram album, and pretty soon that deep dark place beneath the Long-Unfinished Project got a little bit brighter.
